Brought out of Lagos City, Nigeria, born in 1997, I have spent the past 5 years of my life actively mixing songs professionally, from Afro Pop to hip hop to RnB etc. As a youngling living in Nigeria, with parents that had an obsession with a good variety of music, I grew up listening to songs from the likes of Billie Holiday, Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson, John Coltrane, Fela, Victor Uwaifor, D'angelo, Jay-z, Mozart, etc. At a tender age of 5 i was enrolled in a classical music school in Lagos City, Nigeria by my father, i played piano until the age of 12 when I left for boarding school in the Capital Abuja. This was when i first picked up production software, introduced to me by a friend, i made beats daily since then and started playing the guitar as well, my production and style is Influenced by the likes of Derek ‘MixedByAli' Ali, Chris Lorde-Alge, Dr. Dre, Pensado etc, but with a lot more reverb used in a controlled manner.
Two years ago in collaboration with my brothers, we started a media company called Bantu based in the capital of Nigeria, Abuja, Bantu creates Audio and visual solutions to companies individuals etc. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with industry professionals such as Sarz, Mi Abaga, Vector and in my experience, working with various artists and producers, has gained me not only technical and creative skills but communication skills that i feel is absolutely key to making music especially in today's music where collaborations and features could make a successful entertainment career. I have made a wide range of songs for myself as I am not only a mix engineer but and active singer/instrumentalist as well.
According to revolutionary African entertainment website Notjustok.com, brought "A breath of fresh air to Nigerian music”, since then i have released a series of songs that have gained a lot of views and exposure not only to fans but professionals in the field over the year including production credits on 4 Mixtapes and several singles by artists like Sute, Boogey, Ozzy B, Davido Onuoha etc.
In October 2014 i moved to Dubai to temporarily explore musical and entertainment opportunities seeing that Dubai has a very ripe entertainment scene, and on March 31st to launch myself into the middle eastern music scene, i released a song titled ‘Zion Wolf’, a remake of a leaked track ‘Track 3’ by Jai Paul rumored to be called ‘Zion Wolf’, the track was featured on UK based blog ‘Crack in the Road’ which according to the website is “Absolute fire”, due to their recognition the song was picked up on several other blogs that led to the song gaining almost 8 thousand views in just two weeks, being an unsigned artist based in Nigeria this isn’t only a major achievement but a record breaker.
I intend to devote the rest of my life to collaboration, creation and musical manipulation at my personal studio ‘The Jungle Studio’, Nigeria.
